Did You Know...
Creating a Home-Criteria-List (HCL) will help
you keep your project on track. A HCL is a list
of specifics, created by the homeowner, stating
materials, brands, model numbers, shipping, times,
dates, etc., providing a checks and balance system.

Garbage Disposal (non-electric)
The Hydromaid
This water-powered garbage disposal was designed by NASA engineers, for
use in nuclear subs. The HydroMaid is powered by common household water
pressure, approximately 40 lbs of pressure, and requires no electricity.
Think of it as a food processor under the sink with Five stainless steel
blades, driven by a water-powered piston, oscillate back and forth, mincing
the food into waste.
Items such as celery, avocado pits, corn husks, chicken bones, nut shells,
and even glass pose no problem for this disposal. The Hydromaid has the
power to serrate through bone yet, inflicts 90% less damage to silverware
and utensils, than conventional disposals, should they mistakenly find
their way into the disposal.
The HydroMaid comes with a l0-year unconditional warranty. Though hard
pressed to find, there is one drawback, the machine is slower by a third
than the conventional disposal. The HydroMaid is quieter by 20 decibels
than electric disposals, uses about the same amount of water despite that
it is slower but, uses 100% less electricity, and the unit itself is 90%
recyclable.
